Kolar Gold Fields, once India's richest gold mines, now stand in ruins—a land forgotten by time. The people of KGF take pride in their once-glorious past, but the future looks uncertain. With little to no efforts from the government or organizations to preserve its rich heritage, the legacy of this historic town continues to fade away.
The children recited patriotic songs, poems, and proverbs while marching in sync, culminating in a well-coordinated formation. This was followed by individual performances and recitations by selected students. The atmosphere resonated with patriotism and joy, uniting the entire school in a spirited celebration.
This place has lost its identity and glory to such an extent that the locals were initially suspicious of my presence. Many questioned my reason for visiting KGF. However, once they got to know me, their warmth and hospitality shone through—offering to show me around or inviting me for tea, eager to share stories of their home.
